PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP

Revitalize, Reinforce, and Renew: Durability and Rehabilitation of Structural Systems” is the theme for the Pre-conference Workshop for the 16th International Conference on Concrete Engineering and Technology (CONCET 2024) which will be held on 9th July 2024 using an online webinar platform.

Structural durability and rehabilitation is a key component of this endeavor, focusing on extending the life, improving the safety, and optimizing the performance of buildings, and infrastructures. This pre-conference workshop is designed to develop ideas, inspire, and promote best practices in the field of structural rehabilitation.  The Pre-conference Workshop is suitable for architects and designers, structural engineers, construction professionals, government officials and policymakers, building owners and managers, students and academics etc..  It is expected that the participants will gain invaluable insights from industry-leading experts and researchers about the latest technologies, materials, and methods used in structural rehabilitation to ensure the durability and resilience of structural system.

POST CONFERENCE (SITE VISIT)

As part of the 16th International Conference on Concrete Engineering and Technology (CONCET 2024), a post-conference technical site visit will be held on 12th July 2024 in Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia.  The post-conference aims at exploration to awe-inspiring architecture, innovative engineering, and the rich history behind the iconic project in Malaysia.

The location we will be visiting for the post-conference activities is PNB 118.

Location: PNB 118, Kuala Lumpur

Description: PNB 118, also known as Merdeka 118, is a notable landmark in Kuala Lumpur and one of the tallest buildings globally.

It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and an exceptional architectural experience. Participants will have the chance to visit this remarkable skyscraper and learn about its architectural and engineering marvels.
